Who doesn’t love a bit of glitz and glam around Christmas time - it’s the perfect excuse! There are so many different options on the market right now, you can buy single shimmers and glitters or pallets with a wide range of colours. You can’t go wrong with gold and bronze tones - these colours really do suit everyone and are so easy to use.
I used the natural nudes palette by Too Faced to create this look and it works on all skin tones.
Simply add some neutral brown tones to your lid, blending into the creases. Then add with a brush, or your finger, a tiny amount of glitter shadow or shimmer from the inner corner to midway (or be bold and go the whole way). This is a simple yet effective way of adding a bit of sparkle to your festive look.
For model Amma’s look I added a single silver star sequin under each eye. This added a unique but stylish twist for the Christmas shoot and as you can see Amma rocked it...

Using a highlighter on the tops of cheeks and brow bones adds a lovely glow and really helps accentuate your bone structure. Always start off with a tiny amount - you can always add more. I can highly recommend Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood glow highlighter and Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge for glowy cheeks.
My next festive top tip is lip colour! A red lip is bold and may not be for everyone but it really does change the entire look. I adore Mac's Ruby Woo.
For the recent Christmas shoot we started with a neutral lip then went brighter and bolder with a red lip. This instantly glammed it up and added a wow factor - the contrast between the green suit and red looked amazing. If you don’t want to use red there are so many lovely, alternative shades out there.
